The method depends on the scar. Some need resurfacing, some need flattening, some need re-cutting and closing properly.

Is scar revision right for you?
A scar can be made flatter, paler and less obvious. It cannot be removed, because taking a scar out leaves a scar. Dr Sultan confirms the time in the chair, the recovery and the final fee at your consultation.
It usually suits
- A surgical, traumatic or acne scar that has fully matured
- A scar that pulls or sits raised
- You accept improvement rather than removal
It is the wrong treatment if
- The scar is new and still settling on its own
- A history of keloid scarring, which is treated differently
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding

No. It can be softened and blended so it is far less obvious, but a scar cannot be erased.
