Why it happens
A bump on the bridge is bone and cartilage. Filler does not remove it; it fills the dip above and below so the profile reads straight.
A tip that sits low can be lifted slightly by supporting it from underneath.
Small asymmetries can be balanced without touching the underlying structure.

Can filler make my nose smaller?
No. It adds, it does not remove. If you want a smaller nose you want surgery, and he will say so.
