Why it happens
Skin holds less water as it ages, because it makes less of the hyaluronic acid that binds it.
Cell turnover slows, so dead cells sit on the surface longer and scatter light instead of reflecting it.
Sun, central heating, alcohol and poor sleep all pull water out of the skin faster than it is replaced.
How you know
- Skin that looks flat rather than lined
- Fine creasing that appears when you are tired and settles when you are not
- Make-up sitting on the surface rather than into the skin

Will this change how my face looks?
Not in shape. These treatments work on the quality of the skin rather than where it sits, which is why people notice you look well without noticing what you have had done.
Is one appointment enough?
No. All of these are courses. Two sessions a month apart is the usual starting point, with maintenance after that.
Can I not just use better skincare?
Skincare works on the surface. These treatments are injected into the skin, which is a different depth. Most people do both.
