What FaceTite does
A fine tube is passed under the skin. It heats the fat and the layer beneath it with bipolar radiofrequency, and that tissue contracts.
Dr Sultan monitors the temperature under the skin throughout. Depth, temperature and direction are what decide the result.
Where the surface of the skin also needs work, he follows with Morpheus8 in the same appointment while the area is still numb.

These cases are already published by Dr Sultan. Results vary.
Is FaceTite right for you?
FaceTite is not right for everyone. Dr Sultan will tell you at the consultation if it is not right for you.
It usually suits
- A jawline or neck that has started to slacken, where the skin still has some spring in it
- Fullness under the chin or along the jaw
- Early ageing, where the change is visible but a facelift feels like too much
- You want to stay awake, avoid a general anaesthetic and avoid a scar
It is the wrong treatment if
- Skin that has lost most of its elasticity, where a facelift will give the better result
- You want a dramatic change, or a change by a fixed date
- You are looking for weight loss rather than contouring
FaceTite or a facelift?
Patients often choose FaceTite when they are not yet ready for surgery. Dr Sultan is direct that expectations have to stay realistic.
- FaceTite
- Subtle, lower downtime, less invasive. Best suited to early ageing.
- Mini facelift
- Repositions the deeper tissues and removes excess skin. More predictable, longer lasting, and surgical.
What to expect
- 01Before you arrive
- You are given medication to take beforehand, both to help with discomfort and to relax the muscles.
- 02Numbing
- The area is numbed with local anaesthetic. You stay awake throughout. No general anaesthetic and no hospital stay.
- 03The procedure
- A very fine cannula is passed under the skin. Bipolar radiofrequency heats the tissue beneath it, and Dr Sultan monitors the temperature under the skin the whole way through. More pain relief is given during the procedure if you need it.
- 04Fat, where it helps
- A light liposuction can be combined with it, to remove liquefied fat from the neck or jawline where that will improve the result.
- 05Morpheus8, same appointment
- If the surface of the skin also needs work, he treats it with Morpheus8 while the area is still numb, so one recovery covers both.
- 06Going home
- About an hour in the chair. You go home the same day, wearing a head support garment.
- Stay home that evening and rest. Feeling very tired afterwards is normal.
- Most patients do not need painkillers. If you do, take paracetamol. Not ibuprofen, and not other anti-inflammatories.
- Keep the head support garment on that evening and through till the next morning. Take it off to eat and to shower.
- You can cleanse your face and neck the next morning with a gentle cleanser. It will be tender to touch.
- Where Morpheus8 was used there will be visible marks, which look like small scabs one to three days later.
- A written aftercare sheet covering both parts of the procedure is emailed to you separately.
A summary. Dr Sultan emails a full written aftercare sheet after your procedure.
- That evening
- Tired and tender, at home in the support garment.
- Days 1 to 3
- Any Morpheus8 marks scab over. The face and neck feel tender.
- Week 1
- Tenderness through the first week. Swelling at its most obvious.
- Weeks 1 to 3
- Swelling settles. Numbness in the treated area is common, and is a temporary effect of heating the nerves.
- 6 months
- Best results show, once the collagen has responded.
- Up to 1 year
- The result continues to improve.
What FaceTite is used for
- Sagging skin and laxity
- Whether loose skin can be tightened without surgery depends almost entirely on how much elasticity is left in it. That is the first thing he assesses.
- Jawline and double chin
- A soft jawline is fat, loose skin, or both. Which of the three it is decides the treatment, and it is not always obvious from the outside.
Treatments that work with FaceTite
- Morpheus8
- Treated in the same appointment while the area is still numb, if the surface of the skin also needs work.
- anti-wrinkle injections
- Works on the lines your muscles make, which radiofrequency does not touch.
- full face rejuvenation
- If the whole face has changed rather than the jaw and neck alone.
Please read This page describes FaceTite in general terms. It is not medical advice and it is not a diagnosis. Whether FaceTite is right for you can only be decided by Dr Sultan after he has examined you. Every procedure carries risks, and he goes through the ones relevant to you at your consultation. If you are unwell, or you are under the care of another doctor, tell him before you book.
Common questions
How much does FaceTite cost?
FaceTite starts at £5,000. The exact fee is confirmed after your consultation, based on the areas treated.
Does FaceTite hurt?
It is done under local anaesthetic, so you stay awake. Medication is given beforehand to help with discomfort and to relax the muscles, and more pain relief is given during the procedure.
How long does FaceTite take?
About an hour in the chair, and you go home the same day.
How long until I see results?
The result is immediate and continues to improve for up to a year. Best results show at around six months.
How long does FaceTite last?
Dr Sultan puts the longevity at up to ten years, similar to face and neck lift surgery.
Will I need time off work?
Expect swelling for one to three weeks. How visible that is depends on the areas treated, which is worth discussing at the consultation.
Can I take ibuprofen afterwards?
No. If you need a painkiller, take paracetamol rather than ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatories.
Is FaceTite better than a facelift?
They do different jobs. FaceTite is subtler, less invasive and has less downtime. A mini facelift repositions deeper tissue and removes skin, so it is more predictable and lasts longer. Dr Sultan will tell you which one your face actually needs.
How much is a consultation?
A consultation is £150. It covers a full assessment and a written treatment plan.
